Bimetallic construction for longer service life under abrasion, high temperature and corrosion.

A bimetallic screw is made up of two metals or alloys. As the name suggests, in a bimetallic screw, two metals are fixed together. A bimetallic screw is used to increase the life of the entire screw and barrel. That is because a bimetallic screw works better than a mono-metallic screw. Bimetallic screws are made in two metals - the base material and the coating material. That is why a bimetallic screw lasts longer than a mono-metallic screw.

There are multiple applications of a bimetallic screw. It can be used for corrosion formula, regrinding resin, calcium powder filling, additive fireproof materials, and additive plastic materials with less than 15% glass fiber. STELLITE PTA welding machines are adopted for hard-facing, with the alloy thickness over 1.5 mm, providing high surfacing bonding strength, dense textile & effectively improving the resistance of the screws to abrasion, high temperature & corrosion. It helps extend the service life of the bimetallic screw.

The material that is used in a Bimetallic Screw is EN41B with a coating of ni-based alloy. The available diameter sizes vary from 14mm to 200mm and the available length is upto 6 meters. The surface hardness achieved through the Gas Nitriding + PTA process is 58-62 HRC.

A tie bar or in other words known as a tie rod is a structural unit used as a tie. Tie bars are capable of carrying only tensile loads. In general, because the ratio of the typical tie bar's length to its cross-section is usually very large, it simply buckles under the action of compressive forces. The working strength of a tie rod is the product of the allowable working stress and the bar's minimum cross-sectional area.

Injection heads are mostly used in the manufacturing process of plastic injection molding. The shut-off nozzle injection heads serve as the connection between the plasticizing barrel and the mold itself. The main purpose behind using shut-off nozzle injection heads is to avoid drooling of the melt and stringing. Plus, they are also used to feed with a retracted nozzle. Shut-off nozzles are mounted on the machine side of the plastic molding injection process instead of being mounted on the mold side of the plastic injection process.

Ring Plunger

Torpedo / Nose cone sets in EN41B, H13 and D2 with 62–65 HRC surface hardness.

The Ring Plunger set is also known as Torpedo or Nose cone Set and it is mostly applicable for injection molding machines. Our RP Sets have high tensile strength and we are known for their precise construction. We use different materials for the production of our RP Sets. The materials used for RP Sets are EN41B, H13, and D2. To make the RP Sets toughened and hardened, we use the gas nitriding process.
